Volunteer TMAs
In the November issue of the VAST News it was reported that the groomer surcharge was eliminated for the Volunteer TMAs. This was incorrect. The motion did not pass.
The members voted that Volunteer TMAs will need to pay the $20 grooming surcharge.
Volunteers are important to VAST and that is why the Volunteer TMA was created, to recognize all that they do during the year. There were many members at the annual meeting that will have a Volunteer TMA this season and they voiced their opinion that they understood the importance of the surcharge and it was an expense that they were willing to bear.
Sorry for any confusion that this has caused.
